Konrad Wenzel

 Konrad Wenzel, PhD -Director Esri R&D Center Stuttgart 

Bio:  Konrad Wenzel is Director of the Esri R&D Center in Stuttgart, Germany focusing on reality capture technology. The team joined Esri through the acquisition of nFrames in 2020 and develops the SURE engine, which turns imagery into 3D meshes and other mapping products. The technology is used worldwide for drone and aerial imagery for sites, cities and entire countries. Konrad is passionate about Photogrammetry and Computer Vision – especially, turning cutting edge research as a team into solutions to empower 3D content generation for GIS. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his daughters, being in nature and playing music.
