ESA – Platform Services for Open Innovation in EO
The demand for ever higher quality Earth Observation (EO) products and services is on a continued rise, opening an “age of opportunity” for technological innovation to satisfy it. The abundance of remote sensing and geospatial data and information, much of it openly accessible, with an unprecedented diversity and veracity, stimulates growth in the downstream EO sector. Here we will discuss value-adding capabilities and emerging trends in Earth Observation digital platforms, with practical implementation examples from Deep Earth System Data Lab, Euro Data Cube, openEO platform and the Common Architecture initiative.
