Geospatial Information-enabled SDGs Monitoring

Geospatial Information-enabled SDGs Monitoring

Reliable and up-to-date geospatial data plays a fundamental role in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) monitoring. In this context, design and implementation of geospatial information-enabled SDGs monitoring mechanisms and systems has become a critical task for both international communities and local governments. Together with GEO/UN-GGIM/ICA, this forum will invite experts and young scientists to present novel and innovative methods, showcase the use of geospatial information and Earth observation for monitoring SDGs, examine key scientific, educational and technological challenges and explore international collaboration and capacity building on Geospatial Information-enabled SDGs Monitoring.

This forum will start with invited presentations and interactive demonstrations. A round-table discussion will be followed to elaborate the implementation issues on ISPRS scientific initiative ‘Geospatial Information-enabled SDGs Monitoring’, such as roadmap and actions, collaboration with other societies, and active participation from young scientists and students.
